Constipation

Sluggish bowels can be caused by a huge range of factors many of which are due to lifestyle choices. Laxatives work by irritating the bowel lining provoking a spasm of movement, over time they stop working and while they do work, they do nothing to solve the cause of the problem in fact they can aggravate it as the bowel muscles become lazy.

Diet, hydration, exercise, and even how you breathe all play a part in promoting bowel health. If your bowel move only once a day you are mildly constipated, less than once a day and you have a problem. Poor bowel health is the beginning of more serious problems as the body wasn’t designed to store toxic waste but was designed to get rid of it in a timely way.
