Thought Field Therapy (TFT) was developed by Dr Roger Callahan, a clinical psychologist in the US, over 30 years ago and has been officially recognised by the NHS Trust Association as a complementary therapy. TFT is most commonly used to treat and deal with phobias, such as fear of flying, fear of dentists and fear of heights. It can be used to treat addictions, including smoking, as well as anxieties over relationship problems, illnesses, redundancy, work-related stress and panic attacks. As a non-invasive, non-talking therapy treatment, TFT is ideally suited for post traumatic stress disorders relating to bereavements, road traffic accidents and illness diagnosis. NB: please note that due to personal circumstances Carole is unable at present to use TFT to treat patients recently diagnosed with cancer and their family members, nor for the recently bereaved.
